Kayaking is a fantastic way of keeping fit, learning a new skill, exploring new aspects of our lovely country, which you cannot experience any other way. Joining a club will give you the required skills to ensure that you get the maximum thrill, with the minimum of danger, so that you can safely enjoy our coastal and inland waters. Our aim is to encourage Kayaking for both young and old in the Local area. As we have five qualified instructors (Level 2 coaches) and access to senior instructors we are not doing too badly. Long-term plan is to raise up other instructors from within the Club. Contact our membership secretary for joining information MembershipCurrently over 81 memberships, some of which are family memberships, 39 adults and 42 juniors. We are very much at our limit for juniors, fortunately we can get 10 boats in the pool at one time ! We are affiliated to the Scottish Canoeing Association so we abide by the SCA Guide Lines which recommend that Junior trips do not take place during the winter (September to April). Rest assured that we run Junior trips after April. Committee for 2006/7
