Once upon a time…..
David, a friend and now my canoeing "buddy" and I took up kayaking   at the same time,  joining the Forth and Clyde Canoe Club . Thanks to Jim McCulloch, Founder of the club and now living locally and also Local Coaching Organiser (LCO) we gained our star awards and @ 4 years later qualified as Instructors, (now known as Level 2 Coach).

This is also where we met Bill Jackson who has been a great help and support, a very valued friend and fellow coach.

We had felt for some time that we wanted to start a club in the area, there being no active club here in the area. Last May (1998) we met with some other interested folks and formed a committee, and thanks to all their hard work and support now are part of  a club which has over 60 members, regularly getting @20+  kids at pool nights and 15 + adults.
